Bengaluru: In a major development in the murder of rowdy-sheeter Shivakumar alias Biklu Shiva, Bengaluru’s Bharathinagar Police have issued a Look Out Circular (LOC) against the case’s prime accused, Jagadish, who is currently absconding.
Biklu Shiva was brutally murdered on July 15. The police had registered a case immediately and have since arrested 12 accused in connection with the murder. The investigation is ongoing, Bengaluru East Division DCP Devaraj confirmed.
However, Jagadish, identified as the key conspirator in the case, has managed to evade arrest. Despite an intensive search, no concrete leads have emerged, prompting the police to issue an LOC in hopes of gathering information about his whereabouts.
According to DCP Devaraj, preliminary investigations suggest that Jagadish fled Bengaluru before the murder. His travel trail indicates movement from Karnataka to Kerala and Tamil Nadu, eventually reaching Uttarakhand. Authorities suspect that he has since escaped abroad.
In response, the Bengaluru police have alerted all Indian airports, international border checkpoints, and seaports by sharing detailed case information to prevent his possible further movement and facilitate his capture.
The murder of Biklu Shiva has shaken the underworld circles in the city and the manhunt for Jagadish is now being treated as a high-priority operation by the Karnataka police.
