BENGALURU: Posters targeting Deputy Chief Minister Shivakumar appeared overnight in various parts of the city, featuring derogatory claims and images of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. This prompted the police to take action and register a case under the Karnataka Open Places Disfigurement Act on Tuesday.
The posters, which accused the Deputy CM of exploiting women for political purposes, were discovered on the walls of a flyover near the Mysuru deviation road, as well as on Vatal Nagaraj Road, at the Sujatha Talkies and Reliance Petrol Bunk bus shelters, and near Lulu Mall.
Following a report filed by Assistant Sub-Inspector Ramakrishna D M of Magadi Road police station, a case has been officially registered. Police Commissioner B Dayananda stated earlier in the day that measures were being implemented to remove the posters, and noted that either the election flying squad or the BBMP could file a complaint.
