Bengaluru: Bengaluru North City Corporation (BNCC) Commissioner Pommala Sunil Kumar on Tuesday conducted a joint site inspection of Banaswadi Lake in the Sarvagnanagar division along with officials from the city corporation and the Revenue Department.
During the inspection, officials discussed the possibility of transferring the lake, which is currently under the jurisdiction of the Revenue Department, to the Bengaluru North City Corporation to ensure better protection and management of the property.
The Commissioner directed officials to verify all available land records and review complaints filed before courts related to the lake property, and to initiate necessary action in accordance with legal provisions to safeguard the lake and its assets.
The inspection was attended by Joint Commissioner Mohammed Naeem Momin, Executive Engineer Mahadev, Assistant Executive Engineer Akshat, along with other officials from the city corporation and the Revenue Department.
