Bengaluru : Couple in Critical Condition After Home Gas Cylinder Explosion

BENGALURU: A horrifying incident unfolded this morning in Pulikeshinagar, Bangalore, as a 45-year-old man and his 44-year-old wife sustained severe burns in a cooking gas cylinder explosion at their residence. The couple, identified as Siddesh and Shishila, are currently in critical condition, according to authorities.

The unfortunate event occurred while Siddesh was preparing tea in the kitchen after waking up. The gas stove was turned on when the cylinder unexpectedly exploded, resulting in significant burns to both individuals.

Authorities suspect a gas leak as the cause of the explosion. Siddesh has suffered burns on 45% of his body, while his wife’s injuries are even more severe, with burns covering 90% of her body. She is currently fighting for her life in the hospital.

Both Siddesh and Shishila are receiving urgent medical care, with their condition being described as critical. A thorough investigation is underway, led by a senior police officer, to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.
