A collision occurred between a BMTC transport bus and a car on Nayandahalli road in Bengaluru – The car involved in the accident was completely engulfed in flames, while the rear of the BMTC bus also caught fire, resulting in burnt seats.
Fortunately, the person in the car only sustained minor injuries and received treatment at the hospital. Promptly, the fire brigade arrived at the scene and successfully extinguished the fire. Thankfully, no passengers were harmed during this incident.
The car collided with the city bus from behind, causing it to catch fire. However, the bus driver’s quick reflexes allowed more than 40 passengers to escape unharmed.
The car caught fire on the ring road near Nayandahalli in the morning. A speeding I20 vehicle rear-ended the parked BMTC bus, resulting in the car igniting in the middle of the road. Firefighters promptly arrived and extinguished the flames. Fortunately, there were no fatalities. The car was completely burnt, while the rear section of the bus suffered minor damage.
The car driver sustained minor injuries near the nose due to the collision. Fortunately, all other individuals, including the bus passengers, escaped unscathed. The incident involved bus number F4968 of route 26 from Banashankari depot, operating on the Yeswantpur to Banashankari route.
The collision occurred on the ring road while driver Gaurish B and conductor Giridhar were on their night shift. The car collided with the bus at high speed while it was stopped at Chandralayout bus stand to pick up and drop off passengers.
In addition to ensuring passenger safety, the BMTC bus driver has received commendation from the public for his heroic actions.
When a burning car became entangled with the bus, the driver courageously attempted to disentangle them, ultimately saving the bus from certain destruction. By driving the bus for a hundred meters, he prevented the flames from engulfing the vehicle, averting a potential catastrophe in the middle of the road. Undeterred by the raging fire, he fearlessly boarded the bus and continued to drive.
After a relentless struggle lasting one and a half minutes, the driver named Gaurish successfully managed to free the bus from the car. He skillfully maneuvered the bus by crossing over the divider and redirecting it onto another road.
