BENGALURU:

Two prime suspects in the broad daylight murder on Thursday of former BJP corporator Rekha Kadiresh were shot in the leg while trying to evade arrest by the police on Friday afternoon. The police had swung into action in the case following Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa’s ‘assurance’ that those accused of the murder would be arrested within 24 hours.

According to sources, the duo, Peter and Surya, were hiding near the Shani Mahatma temple in Summanahalli near Kamakshipalya in West Bengaluru. The West Division police had detained four persons in the case, and their interrogation revealed the hideout of the duo.
