‘Bangalored’ by virus: 52 wards have containment zones, 64 areas have active cases

With 29 Covid-19 positive cases reported in the last 24 hours in Bengaluru city, the civic administration has increased the number of wards with containment zones from 47 to 52 in the last three days.

On June 7, Bengaluru had 47 wards with containment zones. The number has gone up to 52 till June 9 evening.

This apart, Bengaluru now has 64 ‘active’ areas in BBMP limits which account for 204 active coronavirus cases.

The BBMP zones with wards which have containment zones are:

Bommanahalli (ward 190-Mangammanapalya, 192-Begur, 187-Puttenahalli, 175-Bommanahalli, 174-HSR Layout, 193-Arakere, 185-Yelachenahalli).

Mahadevapura (54–Hoodi, 84–Hagadur, 149–Varthur,
26-Ramamurthy Nagar, 86-Marathalli, 83-Kadugodi, 150-Bellanduru, 85-Doddanekundi)

East (23-Nagavara, 24-HBR Layout, 115-Vannarpet, 61-S.K. Garden, 114-Agaram, 63-Jayamahal, 29-Kacharakanahalli, 113-Konena Agrahara, 48-Muneshwara Nagar, 110-Sampangiramnagar).

South (176-BTM Layout, 146-Lakkasandra, 144-Siddapura, 124-Hosahalli, 143-Visvesvarapuram, 157-Gali Anajaneya Temple, 119-Dharmaraya Swamy Nagar).

West (45-Malleshwaram, 135-Padarayanapura, 136–Jagajeevanram Nagar, 44-Marappana Palya, 138-Chalavadipalya, 105-Agrahara Dasarahalli, 95-Subhash Nagar, 66-Subramanya Nagar, 141-Azadnagar, 131-Nayandahalli, 137-Rayapuram, 140-Chamarajpet).
