BELAGAVI/BENGALURU:
Karnataka’s Public works minister Satish Jarkiholi expressed his frustration, stating that I am limited in my influence in the district, and the power dynamics within the government have taken an unexpected turn. It is rumored that the Chief Minister, who attempted to mediate between the Deputy Chief Minister and Jarakiholi regarding the politics in Belagavi district, seemed helpless at one point.
In response to this development, a dinner party was organized at Dr. G Parameshwar’s residence, with the efforts of Social Welfare Minister Dr. HC Mahadevappa. It is known that CM Siddaramaiah discussed the various recent developments within the party government with his close colleagues during this meeting, which was also attended by Satish Jarakiholi.
The recovery of cash during an IT raid on a contractor, the question of who has jurisdiction over the proposed tunnel road construction in Bengaluru, the power struggle to control the politics of Belagavi district, and various other issues have reportedly shaken the confidence within the cabinet.
As someone who has won elections six times and held authority in the district, I am also curious about the direction in which the discontent in Belagavi is heading. The CM has expressed some helplessness in resolving these internal problems. Therefore, there is a possibility that all these matters will be taken to the attention of the Delhi High Command, according to reliable sources within the Congress party.
There are intriguing rumors circulating about the discussions held in this meeting, to which DCM DK Shivakumar was not invited.
Meanwhile, a disgruntled Satish Jarakiholi is preparing to send a strong message of dissatisfaction to the High Command by embarking on a trip abroad with his allies. There have been murmurs within the ruling party about the political implications of the dinner meeting, which may compel the top leadership to take action against those who fail.
