BENGALURU:
Over 42,000 Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHA), who are in the forefront of the war against Covid-19 pandemic, will go on an indefinite strike from Friday, in support of their demand for a pay hike.
In a statement here on Thursday, ASHA union president Nagalakshmi expressed disappointment that the state government has not cared to respond to their demand for a pay hike. Their monthly wage is presently Rs 6,000.
