MYSURU:
The century-old Mysuru Zoo added one more feather to its cap with the release of rare African Cheetahs for public view.
District in-charge Minister ST Somashekar released the African Cheetahs for public viewing on Thursday.
The Zoo authorities had brought four Cheetahs from Africa under the animal exchange programme in August. One male and two female Cheetahs were kept under quarantine for a month due to Covid-19.
The Minister has raised crores of rupees in the past few months to fund the Zoo which was facing a financial problem due to reduction in the visitors following Covid-19 pandemic.
He said that the district administration has taken precautionary measures to ensure safety. (Agency)
