BENGALURU:
The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) officers have recovered Rs 36,89,000 cash, 50 Bank accounts, 50 Cheque Books and several other documents after conducting simultaneous raids on the house and properties of Dr B Sudha, Head of Information and Biotechnology Department, Karnataka Government on Monday.
As many as seven ACB teams conducted raids simultaneously on 7 properties in Mysuru, Udupi and Bengaluru. The ACB raid was carried out to unearthed the wealth amassed by Dr Sudha, who had earlier worked in the Land Acquisition office, which was disproportionate to her known sources of income and stacked them in the name of her close friends, family members.
The officials also seized 3.7 kg gold ornaments, about 10.5 kg silver articles, house in her name and in benami names.
The investigation is still continuing.
