Graft search targets 9 officials in statewide raids
Graft search team comprises 52 officers and 174 staff headed by SPs
BENGALURU:
In one of the biggest raids conducted by Anti-Corruption Bureau sleuths in Karnataka, searches were carried out at 28 locations related to 9 officials, including a BMTF Inspector in Bengaluru and BBMP Junior Engineer K Subramanyam who is working as Assistant Director, Town Planning in the Yelahanka Zone.
The raids have been underway since Tuesday morning. As per initial information by the sleuths, the searches, on suspicion of disproportionate assets, are being conducted at 28 places against 9 officers in 11 districts. The search team comprises 52 officers and 174 staff of the ACB under the supervision of range SPs.

Places searched: Flat at Channamma Nagar, Angol, Belagavi, office at Belagavi, native place in Golambhavi village, Jamakhandi taluk and another flat in Shanthinatha Homes apartment, Kittur Rani Chennammanagar, Belagavi.

3. Subramanya K Vaddar, Joint Director, Town and Country planning, Mysuru.
Places searched: Residence at Udupi, mother’s house at Karwar town, rented house at Mysuru and his office.

4. Munigopal Raju, Superintendent Engineer, CHESCOM, Mysuru.
Places searched: Superintendent Engineer’s office, Chescom, Kuvempunagar, Mysuru, residence at Gokulam, Mysuru and native place at Kanakapura town, Ramanagara.

5. Channaveerappa, FDA in RTO office, Mysuru south, Lakshmipurum.
Places searched: Residence at Kuvempunagar, Mandya, native place at Halakere village, Mandya, and RTO office at Lakshmipuram, Mysuru.

6. Raju Pattar, Accounts officer, GESCOM, Yadgir.
Places searched: Residence at Yadgir and office at Yadgir.

7. Victor Simon, Police Inspector, BMTF.
Places searched: Residence at Kasavanahalli, Bengaluru, his father’s and father-in-law’s houses at Mysuru, and BMTF office at Bengaluru.

8. K Subramanyam, Junior Engineer, Asst. Director Town Planning Office, BBMP, Yelahanka zone, Bengaluru city.
