Mysuru:

Not too long ago being touted as a ‘zero Covid’ city, the cultural capital of Karnataka is now the fourth worst affected city in the state with 2,840 active Covid cases. Saturday saw 365 fresh cases and 9 deaths in Mysuru, taking its death tally to 151.

As per the bulletin released by the Mysuru administration, it has reported 4,582 positive cases till date, of which 2, 840 are active and 1,591 have been cured.

74 ಮಂದಿ ಗುಣಮುಖರಾಗಿ ಡಿಸ್ಚಾರ್ಜ್ ಆಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. 9 ಮಂದಿ ಸಾವನ್ನಪ್ಪಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

According to sources, the district toll could be higher with deaths also reported from T. Narasipur, Nanjangud, K.R. Nagar and Hunsur.

Among the districts with alarming fatality figures in excess of 100 are Bengaluru (1,056), Mysuru (151), Dakshina Kannada (148), Dharwad (139) and Kalaburagi (100).
