CM pats himself on back, calls it ‘good governance’
BENGALURU:
The Centre’s recommendation to other states to follow Karnataka’s ‘best practices’ for Covid management has come as a shot in the arm for Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa.
Not wanting to let his moment in the limelight go unnoticed by the twitterati, the CM tweeted: “Karnataka’s management of #COVID19 is lauded by the Union Govt as a role model. At the core of our success is good governance with well-crafted policies & meticulous implementation using technology. Congrats to our Corona Warriors & Team Karnataka!”

Among Karnataka’s ‘best practices’ that the Centre has asked other states to emulate are comprehensive contact tracing for infected cases and a sweeping household survey across the state.
The Union Health Ministry has praised Karnataka’s ‘holistic’ approach to the corona challenge by involving multiple agencies and technological interventions.
The state’s ‘Covid score’ on June 19 is 8,281 positive cases, inclusive of 124 deaths and 5,210 discharges.
