Bengaluru, March 17: The pedestrian overbridge near the Kempegowda Road, Kandaya Bhavan, located in front of the Kaveri Bhavan, has been closed to the public due to its deteriorating condition.
Built and maintained by Rajdeep Buildcon Private Limited under the Public-Private Partnership Design Built Finance Operate and Transfer (PPP-DBFOT) model in 2012, the bridge has been deemed unsafe for use.
In accordance with a closure order issued by the Bengaluru Central Urban Corporation, authorities have prohibited public access to ensure the safety of pedestrians.
Citizens are urged to refrain from using the overbridge until further notice. Repairs will be undertaken in the coming days, and the bridge will be reopened to the public once it is deemed safe.
