BENGALURU:
Sunday, March 22, saw the highest single-day number of coronavirus cases in Karnataka with 6 persons testing positive.
In a late evening bulletin, the state health department provided a breakdown of the six cases.
Patient 21: A 35-year-male from Dharwad tested positive. He had travelled from Dubai via Goa to Dharwad on 11th March. (No. of contacts traced — Primary 4)
Patient 22: A 64-year-old female tested positive. She had travelled from Mecca, Saudi Arabia along with her son (patient 19) to Gowribidanur, Chikballapur district on 14th March via Hyderabad to Hindupura by train. From Hindupura she reached Gowribidanur on 15th March by bus. (No. of contacts traced –Primary 4)
Patient 23: A 36-year-old female from Bengaluru had travelled to Switzerland and France. She returned on 9th March and is being treated at a designated hospital.
Patient 24: A 27-year-old male from Bengaluru had travelled to Germany on 8th February and returned on 14th March. He is being treated at a designated hospital. (No. of contacts traced — Primary 14, Secondary 237)
Patient 25: A 51-year-old male from Bengaluru had travelled to London and returned on 13th March. He is being treated at a designated hospital. (No. of contacts traced — Primary 6, Secondary 10)
Patient 26: A 22-year-old male arrived from Spicejet SG60 (seat No.21C) on 19th March at 5.40 pm from Dubai. A resident of Bhatkal, Uttara Kannada, he was isolated at Mangaluru and directly taken to Wenlock Hospital the same day.
