Five Karnataka ministers, who had reportedly come in contact with the video journalist of a Kannada news channel who had tested positive for Covid-19 last week, have undergone tests, and all of them have tested negative.

Earlier, Covid-19 spokesperson and Education Minister S Suresh Kumar, replying to a query, said the ministers who reportedly met the video journalist are getting tested.

Some reports have allege that the ministers have flouted the mandated quarantining and are going about with routine work. However, CT Ravi, Dr Ashwath Narayan, Basavaraj Bommai, BC Patil and Dr K Sudhakar indicated in their tweets that they were observing the necessary precautionary measures.

The journalist, who had visited containment zones demarcated by BBMP, was confirmed positive on April 24.
