Bellary boy infected after contact with Nanjangud case

BENGALURU:

After 11 Covid-19 positive cases reported from Bidar, another ‘hotspot’ Nanjangud has become active with three positive cases, which took the state’s tally to 124 late on Thursday.

The bulletin released by the Karnataka health and family welfare department states that a 24-year-old male from Mysuru district and another 22-year-old male were roommates of patient number 88 and both of them have been admitted at a designated hospital in Mysuru.

This apart, another 14-year-old boy hailing from Bellary was also found Covid-19 positive. He is said to be a contact of patient number 81 and returned from Nanjangud 3 days back. He is admitted at a Bellary hospital.

Meanwhile, Bengaluru tops the table with 51 positive cases, out of which 9 have been discharged, while Mysuru has 21 positive cases.
