BENGALURU:

The Karnataka government has appointed Vandita Sharma as the state’s new Chief Secretary.

An official order issued on Friday reads: “Smt Vandita Sharma (KN:1986), Additional Chief Secretary to Government-cum-Development Commissioner, is appointed as Chief Secretary to Government of Karnataka vice Shri Ravi Kumar P, IAS, retiring from service on superannuation on 31.05.2022.”

Couple at the top

Vandita is wife of Additional Chief Secretary ISN Prasad, who helms the Finance Department which works directly under Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.

Vandita Sharma will retire in November 2023 while ISN Prasad will retire in June 2023.
