Modi’s mega video conference with Chief Ministers to span 2 days
NEW DELHI:
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a mega video conference with chief ministers of all states as the number of coronavirus infections continues to rise across the country. India is now the 4th worst-hit country in the world in total number of infections.
Notwithstanding that the Centre has ended or loosened restrictions in the fifth stage of the lockdown, the PM’s two-day video conference with CMs on June 16 and 17 is a tacit acknowledgement that the Covid-19 crisis is far from over.
Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa’s turn is scheduled for 3 pm on June 17.
