Two girls drowned in the Kumaradhara river near Kenya Kankal in Balpada, Kadaba taluk of Dakshina Kannada district.
11-year-old Avantika and 15-year-old Hansika, daughters of Satish Ammannaya, an engineer in Bangalore, are the unfortunate dead.
