CHIKKABALLAPUR: A truck carrying tomatoes worth Rs 10 lakh overturned, leading to much of the tomatoes going waste. The incident occurred near Doddapyayalagurki under Peresandra police limits in the taluk today.
Tomatoes worth Rs 10 lakh were being transported in the truck.
The truck driver and clearner sustained injuries in the incident. It is said that the driver was trying to avoid hitting a car when the truck went off the road and fell into a ditch. All the crates of tomatoes were strewn in an open field as a result of the mishap.
