Bengaluru: A horrific accident occurred on the Medahalli bridge in Bengaluru late last night, resulting in the deaths of three individuals. A stationary canter truck was struck from behind by a speeding goods tempo, leading to the tragic incident. The collision was so severe that the front of the canter was completely mangled, and the bodies were found in a dismembered state.
The driver and a passenger of the canter died at the scene, while another person sustained serious injuries and was rushed to the hospital. The accident took place around 11:45 PM when the canter, loaded with potatoes and traveling from Kolar to KR Market, suffered a flat tire and was parked on the left side of the road.
The goods tempo, identified as a Tata vehicle, collided with the canter at high speed. Authorities from the KR Puram traffic police arrived at the scene to conduct an investigation, and the deceased were transferred to the KR Puram government hospital.
Police are currently gathering more information regarding the incident, including whether any of the individuals involved had been drinking. A case has been registered, and an inquiry is underway.
