In last 2 days, 700 tractors and 400 SUVs despatched countrywide
BENGALURU:
The Indian Railways continues to increase its ferrying of automobiles across the country. Four NMG (new modified goods) rakes were loaded with two TAFE tractors and two KIA SUVs on Thursday, while on Friday Bengaluru’s SWR division loaded four NMG rakes with automobiles.
According to DRM Ashok Kumar Verma, on Friday two NMG rakes were loaded at Doddaballapur with 350 TAFE tractors bound for Mandideep and Kankaria. In the last two days, SWR has despatched 700 tractors to UP,MP, Rajasthan and Gujarat.
On Friday, two NMG rakes were loaded from Penukunda carrying 200 KIA SUVs to GPFA (Punjab) and FN (New Delhi). In the last two days, SWR has despatched 400 KIA SUVs to Delhi, UP and Punjab.
