Supreme Court Justice Mohan Shantanagoudar passes away

Supreme Court Justice Mohan M Shantanagoudar, breathed his last at a private hospital in Gurugram in the wee hours of Sunday April 25. He was 61.

Justice Shantanagoudar had been admitted in the intensive care unit with lung infection, sources stated.

Shantanagoudar had registered himself as a lawyer on September 5, 1980. He was born in Haveri on May 5,1958. He was appointed as an additinal judge of Karnataka high court on May 12, 2003. His services were confirmed in September, 2004. He was transferred to Kerala on August 1, 2016 and he served there as the acting Chief Justice of Kerala high court.

On September 22 that year, he was promoted as the chief justice of Kerala high court. On February 17, 2017, he was appointed as a Supreme Court judge.
