Rs 94 crore allocated for 12th century reformer’s memorial in Bagalkot district

Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa has called for speeding up work on the Basava International Museum in Koodala Sangama, which has been modelled after the Sri Swamy Narayana Aksharadhama temple in New Delhi. The CM was reviewing the work of the koodalasangama Development Board on Tuesday.
The museum project has been allocated Rs 94 crore in the first phase. A sum of Rs 1.25 crore was also approved for infrastructure development near the Sharane Gangambika memorial at MK Hubballi.
It was decided to waive two months’ rent amounting to Rs 2.97 lakh of 81 shops which come under the Koodala Sangama Development Board following the flooding woes.
Govind Karjol, Deputy Chief Minister, Umesh Katti , Minister for Food and Civil Supplies, and legislators of Bagalkot district were present in the meeting.
