Rashtriya Military School’s 76th Annual Day Celebrated in Bengaluru

Completing a long haul journey of 76 years in service to the nation, the iconic Rashtriya Military School, Bangalore, marked its 76th Annual Day with due felicitations and cultural events in the institute on 10 Dec 2022. The winners of various intra-events were duly felicitated and academic excellence awards were distributed during the award ceremony of the inaugural session presided over by Brig. C K Ramesh (Retd), the President, Old Boys’ Association, RMS Bengaluru.

Lt Col Dipankar Choudhury, the Principal of RMS, Bengaluru, presented the annual report highlighting the achievements of cadets and indicating the efforts of the school in strengthening the unique and innovative education system at RMS, Bengaluru.

The Chief Guest of the event on this momentous occasion was Maj Gen Ravi Murugan, AVSM, GOC, HQ K & K Sub Area. The General Officer in his address appreciated the stupendous efforts of the institution in attaining excellence and the pinnacle of success.

The highlight of the celebration was the cultural program through which the cadets enthralled the audience with their energy and mesmerizing dance and drama performances. The cultural fiesta left indelible impressions on each and every spectator and the distinguished guests appreciated the excellent coordination and synchronization of the performance that clearly reflected hard work and team efforts.

The alumni of this prestigious institution passed out in the years 1972, 1982 & 1996, enthusiastically took part in the celebrations held at their alma mater. The old boys were given a warm welcome and those veterans and serving defence personnel interacted with young cadets and shared their experiences as cadets back in their time at RMS, Bengaluru. The Annual Day Celebrations concluded with a highly appreciated and successful carnival where cadets, alumni, and staff bonded as one family.
