BENGALURU:
Ramesh Jarkiholi’s residence was targeted when a group of Congress workers decided to put up a poster containing offensive language. This incident adds another twist to the ongoing rivalry between Ramesh Jarkiholi and DK Shivakumar.
During a press conference held in Gokak on Monday Ramesh Jarkiholi, who has been openly critical of DK Shivakumar, referred to him as a backdoor politician and accused him of manipulating Belagavi politics to bring down the government. He even compared the state Congress government to the one in Maharashtra, suggesting that it may face a similar fate.
Furthermore, Ramesh Jarkiholi clarified that they have no intention of resorting to any underhanded tactics, such as Operation Kamala, to overthrow the state government. He emphasized that even during the previous coalition government, the BJP did not engage in any such operations despite its dissolution being attributed to DK Shivakumar’s interference. However, he did suggest that the state Congress government may face a similar fate as the Maharashtra government.
