New Delhi: Union Minister for Railways, Information & Broadcasting, and Electronics & Information Technology, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, chaired a review meeting at Rail Bhawan today to evaluate progress in enhancing station access, upgrading passenger amenities, and reinforcing security measures to improve the overall passenger experience. The meeting emphasized initiatives such as access control, crowd management, technology-driven surveillance, and improved mobility within station premises. These reforms will initially be implemented at New Delhi Railway Station, with plans to expand to other stations based on the insights gained.
To enhance the travel experience for passengers at New Delhi Railway Station, the RailOne App will be integrated with Bharat Taxi. This integration, developed in collaboration with RailTel, aims to alleviate congestion outside the station, minimize passenger inconvenience, and offer a reliable and transparent last-mile transport option.
Bharat Taxi is recognized as India’s first cooperative-led ride-hailing platform. This initiative marks a significant milestone in the Government of India’s efforts to strengthen the cooperative sector and promote inclusive, citizen-centric mobility solutions, aligning with the vision of ‘Sahkar se Samriddhi’.
