OMR sheet, hall ticket of KEA recruitment exam goes viral on social media, raises questions

Date:

KALABURAGI: Close on the heels of the instances of copying through bluetooth devices during the recruitment exams held recently, the OMR sheet and hall ticket of a candidate has gone viral on social media. The OMR sheet is believed to be of a candidate from Hubballi-Dharwad and has led to suspicion that exam malpractice could have occurred elsewhere also.

The recruitment exam was conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) and the candidate’s hall ticket shows that it was for the post of second division assistant. The exam was held on November and the centre is marked as SDM College of Engineering and Technology, Dhavalagiri, Dharwad.

Candidates appearing for the recruitment exam were not allowed to carry their phones or any other devices inside the examination halls. Now, questions are being raised as to how the photograph of the OMR sheet and hall ticket were taken.

The development has given rise to suspicion about exam malpractice having occurred in Hubballi and other places apart from Kalaburagi and Yadgir. Questions are also being raised over the photo of the OMR sheet along with the candidate’s hall ticket going viral.
