Reopening of parks outside the containment zones and has been allowed by the Centre, and on Saturday the Karnataka government authorised local bodies to fix park timings between 5 am and 9 pm.
An order issued by Principal Secretary Revenue N Manjunatha Prasad, who is also member-secretary of the state disaster management authority, says local bodies have been asked to keep open all parks coming under them from 5 am to 9 pm.
The order says all safety guidelines issued by the Centre and the state should be adhered to.
The government in May had permitted parks to open from 7 am to 9 am and from 5 pm to 7 pm.
