KSRTC inter-district buses will adhere to curfew rules

BENGALURU:

If you are thinking of taking an inter-district bus,  plan ahead as  the state transport department will be running only a limited number of buses, which may not suit to your time-table.

For now, the state transport department will be plying buses from Bengaluru only to five districts. While there will be no increase in fares, the department will follow the current guidelines so that buses can reach their destination before the start of night curfew at 7 pm.

Travellers can book their tickets through www.ksrtc.in, and they are requested to carry minimum luggage as well as a legally acceptable ID card.

Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa had announced  on Monday that around 200 buses would start plying from Tuesday, and the number would increase depending upon the demand.

But with the transport department clarifying that the buses services will operate only from 7 am to 7 pm, it is essential for prospective travellers to plan well.

KSRTC service timings

Bengaluru to Mysure: Last bus to leave at 4 pm (3-hour journey).

Bengaluru to Shivamogga: Last bus to leave at 12 pm (7-hour journey).

Bengaluru to Davangere: Last bus to leave at 1 pm (6-hour journey).

Bengaluru to Hassan: Last bus to leave at 3.30 pm (3.5-hour journey).

Bengaluru to Mangalore: Last bus to leave at 11.30 am (7.5 -hour journey).
