Nandi Giridham Ropeway Project | To be completed in 18 months once it is Commenced: Minister M.C. Sudhakar

Karnataka Minister for Higher Education and Chikkaballapur district In-charge Minister M.C. Sudhakar has announced that the highly anticipated Nandi Hill Ropeway project will soon be underway.

He revealed that the necessary preparations for the installation of a three-kilometer-long ropeway at Nandi Giridham in Chikkaballapur district, a renowned global tourist destination, will commence shortly.

To ensure the smooth execution of the project, a committee has been established, led by Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department, Rajneesh Goyal.

The process of transferring all properties at Nandi Hill Station to the Tourism Department is currently in progress.

Furthermore, efforts are being made to acquire 9 acres of land in Chikkaballapur district and 7 acres in Doddaballapur of Bangalore rural district for the construction of the ropeway.

The Minister emphasized that the ropeway construction will be completed within 18 months. Additionally, the management responsibility for the next 30 years has been entrusted to the ropeway construction company. The ropeway system will consist of 50 cable cars traveling in one direction and another 50 cable cars returning, with a seating capacity of six individuals per car.
