CoWIN digital platform continues to accept 18-44 years registration
BENGALURU:
Amid the skyrocketing spike in Covid-19 positive cases, the only hope seems to be vacccinating the largest percentage of the population. But the reality is that those in the 18-44 years age group may end up waiting for some more days as Karnataka may not be in a position to start the vaccination drive for this group from May 1.

However, vaccination of eligible beneficiaries above 45 years will continue in all government facilities even after May 1.
Rs 400 cr for target group
The Government of Karnataka has already spent Rs 400 crore to buy one crore doses of Covid-19 vaccines for vaccination of the population in the age group of 18-44 years — and youths will have to wait until the manufacturers deliver the supplies.
Meanwhile, the CoWIN portal continues with the registration of all citizens above 18 years of age for vaccination against Covid-19.
