Karnataka Govt Approves ₹15,441 Crore Investment Proposals, Creates 5,277 Job Opportunities

Bengaluru: The Karnataka state government has approved investment proposals worth ₹15,441.17 crore, potentially creating job opportunities for 5,277 people in the state. This announcement was made by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah following the 65th meeting of the State High-Level Clearance Committee.

The meeting, held at Vidhana Soudha, saw the approval of four new or expansion investment proposals, along with two additional investment proposals. Furthermore, ten amendment project proposals already in various stages of implementation were also approved.

Notable investment projects include a ₹2,406 crore investment by Shree Cement Limited, expected to generate 300 jobs. Dalmia (Bharat) Limited has two approved investments of ₹3,000 crore and ₹3,020 crore respectively, each projected to create 570 jobs. Additionally, MVee Energy Pvt. Ltd. is set to invest ₹5,495 crore, with the potential to generate 2,508 jobs. Cumulatively, these new investment proposals account for ₹13,921 crore and are anticipated to create 3,948 employment opportunities.

The meeting was attended by ministers M.B. Patil, Cheluvarayaswamy, Priyank Kharge, Chief Secretary to the Government Dr. Shalini Rajneesh, Additional Chief Secretary L.K. Atheeq, the Principal Secretary to the Government of the Department of Commerce and Industry, and other senior officials from various departments. This investment is a significant step towards boosting the economy of Karnataka and providing employment to its citizens.
