JSW steel plant tripled production of liquid medical oxygen

The supply quantity of Liquid Medical Oxygen from the JSW steel plants has increased multiple times in the last few days. Consequently, the total supplies of Liquid Medical Oxygen for the month of April’2021 will be in excess of 11500 tonnes from JSW Steel Vijayanagar Works. Major part of the supply is to Karnataka state.

JSW has more than tripled LMO supply from JSW Vijayanagar plant from an average of 200 tons in early April to over 680 tons currently.

Rajashekhar Pattanasetty, President, JSW Steel Vijayanagar Works, said, “We have taken several measures to increase the availability of Liquid Medical Oxygen at the hospitals. This includes optimization of steel production and increasing Liquid Medical Oxygen availability. We also have taken several measures to reduce the turnaround time of the tankers that carry this invaluable medicine. We will always be committed to provide every support to the government and the health sector in reducing the impact of pandemic. Our sincere efforts will continue to be there in reducing hardship that has hit the society”.

JSW Steel is committed to augment the supply of liquid oxygen further in these critical times to save lives, leaving no stone unturned to push the supply of liquid oxygen in the interest of our nation.
