IAS officer Anbu Kumar is new MD of BMTC

As part of Karnataka CM’s major reshuffle, Dr Ram Prasath Manohar V, IAS, is new BBMP Special Commissioner (Revenue)

BENGALURU:

Within 48 days of assuming office, Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has effected a major reshuffle in the bureaucracy with the appointment of 2004 batch IAS officer Anbu Kumar V as the new MD of Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC). His predecessor, Dr Reju MT, is transferred and posted as MD, Karnataka Urban Infrastructure Development and Finance Corporation (KUIDFC). Anbu Kumar V was earlier Commissioner for Public Instruction.

Anil Kumar TK , IAS (KN:1995)

In other transfers, Anil Kumar TK , IAS (KN:1995), Principal Secretary in the Health and Family Welfare Department (Medical Education) has been posted as Principal Secretary, Health and Family Welfare, relieving Jawaid Akhtar, IAS, from the latter’s concurrent charge.

Rashmi Mahesh V, IAS (KN:1996)

Rashmi Mahesh V, IAS (KN:1996), Principal Secretary, Backward Classes Welfare Department, gets concurrent charge as Principal Secretary, Kannada and Culture Department, relieving Dr Ravishankar J, IAS, of his concurrent charge.

Dr Selvakumar S, IAS (KN:1997), Secretary, Department of Skill Development, Entrepreneurship and Livelihood, is placed in concurrent charge as Secretary, Co-operation Department, relieving Jayaram N, IAS, of his concurrent charge.

Dr Ravishankar J, IAS (KN:2001)

Dr Ravishankar J, IAS (KN:2001), Commissioner for Excise, is transferred with immediate effect and posted as Secretary, Health and Family Welfare (Medical Education) in place of Kumar TK. Dr Ravishankar J also gets concurrent charge as Commissioner for Excise.

Dr Vishal R, IAS (KN:2004)

Dr Vishal R, IAS (KN:2004), Commissioner, Rural Drinking Water and Sanitation Department, Bengaluru is transferred and posted as Commissioner for Public Instruction, Bengaluru in place of Anbu Kumar V.

Dr Ram Prasath Manohar V, IAS (KN:2010)

Dr Ram Prasath Manohar V, IAS (KN:2010), MD, Karnataka State Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation, is transferred and posted as Special Commissioner (Revenue), BBMP, relieving Dr Basavaraju S, IAS, from concurrent charge.

Dr Ram Prasath Manohar V is also placed in concurrent charge as MD, Karnataka State Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation, Bengaluru.

Ravindra PN, IAS

Ravindra PN, IAS, Director, Mines & Geology Department, Bengaluru, is transferred and posted as Inspector General of Registration and Commissioner of Stamps, Bengaluru in the downgraded post in place of Mohan Raj KP, IAS, who is transferred. Ravindra PN is also placed in concurrent charge as Director, Mines and Geology Department.
