Covid cases will get home isolation kits; health details will be entered in BBMP system

BENGALURU:

A team of BBMP doctors will conduct door-to-door health visits in BBMP limits with the motto – ‘Palike Vaidyaru Nimma Mane Bagilige’ (‘Palike doctors at your doorstep’).

House-to-house health check- up by BBMP doctors begins in Bengaluru

The initiative will have teams with one doctor and one paramedical staff each that will collect information on Covid symptoms and co-morbidities and provide health advice. In the first phase, 2 wards each from 54 assembly constituencies have been chosen and the survey will start on August 16.

Key points:

  1. Each team will conduct a survey of at least 50 homes.
  2. Each ward will be assigned 5 doctors and more teams will be assigned as needed.
  3. Each team consists of a medical officer (MBBS/ BDS/AYUSH) and a team of paramedics.
  4. The doctors in every team will wear a white apron printed with the legend – ‘Palike vaidyaru nimma mane Bagilige, nimma arogyave namma dhyeya’ (‘Palike doctors at your doorstep, your health is our priority’)
  5. Teams will be equipped with vehicles for conducting door-to-door visits.
  6. If a Covid-19 infected person is found during a home visit, they will be provided with a home isolation kit, available at primary health centres.
  7. Doctors are instructed to enter the survey details into the BBMP software every day.
