BENGALURU:

BBMP Chief Commissioner Gaurav Gupta has instructed civic officials to prioritise road, pothole, street light and storm water drain repairs in the Peenya industrial area of Dasarahalli zone.

Speaking to media persons after a meeting with the Peenya Industrial Association on Saturday, Gupta said a team of solid waste management officials will inspect the area and a separate officer will be appointed to resolve the waste disposal issue.

The officials have been instructed to carry out all the repair work within a week, while long-standing issues will be discussed at the government level, he said.

‘Clear SWD silt’

Gupta said the 14th Main Road connecting the industrial areas must be developed at the earliest. Officials have been asked to take up the 4-5 km-long SWD work after identifying waterlogging spots, and to clear the silt in the SWD.
