Mysuru:
In a major development, five people from Mysuru district have been tested covid-19 positive. With this the number of positive patients in Mysuru has gone up to 8.
According to Mysuru district deputy commissioner Abhiram G Sankar, 4 people are resident of Nanjangud while one is a resident of Yaraganahalli in the outskirts of the city.
All the covid-19 positive cases are contacts of patient number 52 who works with quality assurance section of a pharmaceutical company in Nanjangud. Patient number 52 was in contact with many healthcare professionals. He do not have any travel history and contact history. Two days ago he was tested positive and all his seven primary contacts were quarantined.
Mysuru now equals with Chikballapur district having equal number of eight positive cases.
With this Karnataka’s total ‘tally’ goes up to 81. Saturday witnessed the highest number of 17 cases getting confirmed in Karnataka.
