Bengaluru: A delegation of senior officials from the Government of India visited the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) office in Bengaluru on Wednesday to study its advanced and transparent examination system that uses modern technologies such as webcasting and facial recognition.
The delegation included Raman Kumar and K. Manoj, officers of Deputy Secretary rank in the Government of India, along with Dr. Akash, Chief Executive Officer of Chitradurga Zilla Panchayat.
During the visit, KEA Administrative Officer Islamuddin Gadyal gave a detailed presentation and live demonstration explaining how the authority uses modern technology to curb examination malpractices and ensure transparency.

Officials explained the entire process followed during examinations, including webcasting at examination centres, verification of candidates upon arrival, facial recognition-based identity checks, attendance monitoring, scanning of answer sheets immediately after exams, and the process of result declaration.
Gadyal stated that the central government delegation is visiting various states to study examination systems and identify best practices that could be incorporated while framing national-level policies for conducting competitive examinations.
The visiting officials reportedly appreciated the advanced technological systems adopted by KEA to ensure fairness and transparency in conducting examinations.
