Karnataka Covid toll now 18

Covid-19 continues to chart its deadly course in Karnataka, claiming a second life in Dakshina Kannada district. The latest victim is a 7-year-old woman. With this, the death toll in the state is now 18.
The deceased is a resident of Kasaba Pate of Bantwal in Dakshina Kannada district. She was bed-ridden and was mother-in-law of patient 390, a 50-year-old who died on April 19 of SARI.
Sources said patient 390 did not have any travel history, though her son had returned from Dubai.
Meanwhile, health department said in its statement: “P 432, 75 year old female COVID positive from Bantwal with history of hypertension, stroke and pneumonia died today at Wenlok District Hospital, DK.”
