BENGALURU: A group of eight Nigerian nationals was arrested for assaulting police officers in Mavallipura, located within the Rajanukunte police station limits in Bengaluru.
The Central Crime Branch (CCB) had received information about a drug peddler in the area, prompting them to conduct a search. However, upon arrival, the Nigerian nationals attacked the police party. The CCB officers, accompanied by DISWAT, the state paramilitary force, were met with resistance.
During the altercation, the accused individuals damaged the police vehicle’s windshield and injured four officers. Despite attempting to flee the scene, the suspects were apprehended shortly after. The incident unfolded within the Rajanukunte police jurisdiction.
