Dr Uma Madhusudhan feted in Connecticut for ‘corona service’

A US-based doctor with roots in Mysuru has been feted in a unique manner for her work as a ‘corona warrior’.
Dr Uma Madhusudhan, working at Hartford Healthcare, South Windsor Hospital in the state of Connecticut, recently received a ‘drive of honour’ for her selfless service in treating coronavirus patients
On Tuesday, Medical Education Minister K Sudhakar tweeted: “As I head to Mysuru, happy to share a video of Uma Madhusudhan, Mysuru-origin Doctor in US being honoured in front of her house by grateful patients. It’s a beautiful sight of cars, police vehicles, fire trucks lining up in gratitude, waving & honking to say, Thank you Dr Uma.”
Dr Madhusudan is an alumnus of JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research (JSSAHER). She is of the 1990 batch that graduated from JSS Medical College in Shivarathreeshwara Nagar in Mysuru.
Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa tweeted: “Mysore-based Kannada woman Dr Uma Madhusudan, who is been treating Corona infected America, is getting special respect ‘Drive of Honor’ from the US government. I congratulate her.”
