BENGALURU:
A case has been registered at the Adugodi police station against a woman who caused a disturbance at the mall in Koramangala and exhibited unruly behavior towards the police.
In the early hours of the morning, around 2:30 am, a woman was spotted walking on the 4th floor of Nexus Mall. Concerned about her presence, the mall staff politely requested her to leave. However, instead of complying, the woman became agitated and verbally abused the staff. To make matters worse, she made false allegations against them. Witnessing this unruly behavior, the mall manager promptly dialed 112 for assistance.
The police arrived at the scene and instructed the woman to vacate the premises. Unfortunately, she continued to hurl insults at the officers, refusing to heed their warnings. Consequently, the police had no choice but to escort her to the police station.
Meanwhile, if the mall staff wishes to press charges against her, they have been advised to file a complaint. Shockingly, while at the police station, she even threw a slipper at an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) and attempted to flee. In her desperate escape attempt, she resorted to biting a female Police Sub-Inspector (PSI) who tried to restrain her. As a result, the police have now registered a case against the woman under IPC sections 324 and 353.
In response to the incident, Nexus Mall Manager Vijay stated, “We politely requested the woman to leave the mall premises. However, she responded with abusive language. Our intention was never to escalate the situation. Given the late hour, around 2:30 am, we simply asked her to depart. Unfortunately, she began making baseless accusations against us, forcing us to involve the police.”
The police have stated that the woman’s mental state appears to be unstable, but only a medical report can confirm this suspicion.
