Karnataka sees highest 29,438 cases and 208 deaths
BENGALURU:
Bengaluru’s COVID-19 fatalities on Saturday reached 5,723 with 149 deaths, while the single-day highest of 17,342 fresh cases took the caseload to 6,32,923, the health department said.
While the total fatalities in Karnataka were 14,283, the active cases in the state too crossed the two lakh mark — 2,34,483, including 1,280 in the ICU.
The state also reported the single-day highest mark with 29,438 cases and 208 deaths.

Bengaluru urban district, so far reported 6,32,923 infections and 5,723 deaths. There are 1,62,171 active cases.
According to the health bulletin, 1,559 infections were reported in Tumakuru, 823 in Hassan, 791 in Kalaburagi, 731 in Ballari, 688 in Mandya, 684 in Bengaluru Rural.
Other than Bengaluru, eight fatalities have been reported in Kalaburagi, six in Kolar, five in Dharwad, four in Mysuru, three each in Ballari, Bengaluru Rural, Haveri, Mandya, Shivamogga and Tumakuru, two each in Dakshina Kannada, Davangere, Hassan, Kodagu, Raichur, Uttara Kannada and Vijayapura while one each in Belagavi, Chamarajanagar, Chikkaballapura, Chikkamangaluru.
