BENGALURU:
‘Contactless’ is the new buzzword at Kempegowda International Airport as it reopens its terminals to domestic flyers from May 25.
To protect passengers and staff from the risk of Covid-19 transmission, the airport operator, Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL), has put in place a ‘no contact’ kerb parking-to-plane boarding protocol.
“We have introduced innovative contactless procedures to minimise exposure at the airport,” BIAL CEO Hari Marar said.
The new SOP covers check-in, security check, boarding, retail and dining, parking on arrival, transport and sanitation, according to a BIAL press release.Â
