‘Contactless’ experience awaits flyers at KIA

‘Contactless’ is the new buzzword at Kempegowda International Airport as it reopens its terminals to domestic flyers from May 25.

To protect passengers and staff from the risk of Covid-19 transmission, the airport operator, Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL), has put in place a ‘no contact’  kerb parking-to-plane boarding protocol.

“We have introduced innovative contactless procedures to minimise exposure at the airport,” BIAL CEO Hari Marar said.

The new SOP covers check-in, security check, boarding, retail and dining, parking on arrival, transport and sanitation, according to a BIAL press release.
