NEW DELHI:
Cinemas, multiplexes, theatres, swimming pools and entertainment parks outside the containment zones will be opened from October 15, with certain conditions in the country, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) announced on Wednesday.
According to the ‘guidelines for reopening’ issued by the Ministry, cinemas, theaters and multiplexes will be permitted to open, with up to 50 percent of their seating capacity, for which the SOP will be issued by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

Swimming pools being used for training of sportsperson will be permitted to open, for which the standard operating procedure (SOP) will be issued by Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports (MoYA&S), whereas the entertainment parks and similar places will be permitted to open, for which the SOP will be issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW).
Business-to-Business (B2B) Exhibitions will be permitted to open, for which the SOP will be issued by the Department of Commerce, the new guidelines said.
The MHA also said that strict enforcement of lockdown on containment Zones will be effective till October 31, 2020 and the national directives for COVID-19 management shall continue to be followed throughout the country, for which the MHA would monitor effective implementation. (Agency)
