Bidar: A historic Gurudwara in Bidar, Karnataka, received a bomb threat email early Saturday, triggering an emergency response from security agencies. According to officials, the bomb detection and disposal squad (BDDS) along with canine units have been deployed to thoroughly scan the premises.
The email warning, which mentioned the possibility of an explosion, led to intensive security checks at the religious site. A similar threat had reportedly been received earlier as well, raising concerns over repeated hoax or malicious alerts.
The Gurudwara, which draws hundreds of devotees daily, is known for its Amritsar-style langar (community kitchen) and is considered a major spiritual and tourist destination in Bidar. Authorities have taken the threat seriously, citing the religious and cultural importance of the site.
Officials confirmed that investigation is ongoing, and efforts are being made to trace the source of the threat email. So far, no suspicious object has been found, but search operations are continuing as a precaution.
Police have assured that adequate security arrangements are in place and have urged the public not to panic.
