
BENGALURU: The body of a 32-year-old woman, Gauri Khedekar, was found inside a suitcase near Ambedkar Apartment in Doddanekundi Village, Bengaluru, as confirmed by Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) South-East Bengaluru, Sarah Fathima.
The suspect, Rakesh, was apprehended by Shirawal police in Pune after tracing his call detail records (CDR). The Hulimavu police have traveled to Pune to bring him back to Bengaluru.



Khedekar, originally from Maharashtra, was married to Rakesh Rajendra Khedekar, 36. The couple lived within the Hulimavu police station limits. Authorities have sent the body for a post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death.
DCP South-East Bengaluru stated, “The body of 32-year-old Guri Khedekar was discovered near Ambedkar Apartment in Doddanekundi Village, Bengaluru. She was the wife of Rakesh Rajendra Khedekar (36 years old). Her body was found in a suitcase. The husband and wife resided within Hulimavu police station limits and were both from Maharashtra. The body has been sent for post-mortem.”
The police have initiated an investigation into the case, and further details are pending.
